From Dated to Dreamy!
This bathroom remodel features a rustic touch to a luxurious design. Everything was replaced to enhance functionality and create a spa like atmosphere for relaxation and rejuvenation.
Key Features
Statement soaking tub and glass vessel sinks.
Chandelier over the tub to create ambiance.
New cabinetry in a warm toned knotty alder.
Warm floors throughout – including the shower floor to keep the Oregon Coast winter chill at bay.
Note: Our contractor did extensive research and testing to figure out how to install warm flooring under the shower floor tile. If this is something you want, let me know!
The Original Master Bath
To accommodate the new soaking tub, the outdated tub and surround were removed. We changed the recessed light in the ceiling to a chandelier and coordinated the wall paint color to compliment the new tile.

Demolition Plan
Replacing the orange toned cabinetry, builder grade countertop and tile was a must. Every bit of tile was removed from the floors, walls and shower.

The Result!
Stone countertop: Splendito Quartzite from Elemar Oregon installed by Mckenzie Stone & Tile Eugene.
Cabinetry: Knotty Alder in a custom stain and finish built by WG Peterson Woodworking.
Tile: Bedrosians Montana tile in Flathead finish. Shower and tub trim in Montana Flathead with Silverbow finish.
The faucets, light fixtures and door hardware are in oil rubbed bronze.

The Design Process – Step One
First, we drew the space to scale in sketch format. Once the basic design was approved we rendered the drawings and set out to obtain samples of every finish. We spent the day driving to Tualatin and Portland to see the the stone and tile firsthand to compare them with our cabinet and paint samples.
Pro Tip: Always get physical samples whenever possible. Compare all samples together with the cabinetry stain, paint and hardware finishes before purchasing. Your designer can likely order samples at no cost for you.

The Design Refined
Detailed 3D renderings of the proposed remodel were created to illustrate spatial relationships and design elements to enhance functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Rendering of the tub nook
A note about renderings. Sometimes it is not possible to use elements that are exact replicas of products chosen, as in the tub here. We get as close as possible, allowing the client to visualize how their space will look.

Phase 2 – The Kitchen:
This was a fun project for a fantastic client. Next we will bring their new kitchen design to life, so stay tuned!
